Clear your calendars and join us for a night of innovation focused on creating solutions for sustainable fishing in our oceans. Miami Fishackathon kicks off on June 13th and you're invited to take part in producing concrete prototypes to help solve management challenges  of small-scale fishermen in developing countries.
Marine industry experts and hobbyists, coders, business people, and any innovators are welcome!

Friday, June 13th

5:30 – 6:00 pm Registration/check in

6:00 – 6:15 pm Welcome by State Department & Venture Hive

6:15 – 7:15 pm Presentations and Q&A by fishery and marine science experts

7:15 – 8:30 pm Dinner and group brainstorm

8:30 – ON Break into project teams and get to work! Project teams can work at Venture Hive all night (snacks & support will be provided)


Saturday, June 14th

8:00 – 9:00 am Breakfast and mentoring

9:00 – 12:00 pm Mentoring

12:00 – 12:30 pm Lunch and presentations due

12:30 – 1:30 pm Final project presentations

1:30 – 2:00 pm Judging and winners announced

A winner(s) will be selected amongst all of the teams from the five participating cities and will be awarded

Virtual accelerator services from Venture Hive!

One winning team who desires the opportunity to turn their project into a sustainable business will have three months of support from Venture Hive! The winning team will have a deep-dive session to develop the goals for the product and strategy and ongoing support in the form of weekly personalized coaching sessions to support the company and product development and scaling.


The Office of Global Partnerships & tone are offering a trip to the Philippines.



A select winner will be awarded $5000 in cash by Cast Software
